Hype Records was formed by Bob Ketchum in 1972. The first release on Hype was
"I Know You're Leavin'" b/w "Lose My Lonliness" (HYPE No. 101-A), by ROCK BOTTOM from Fort Smith, Arkansas.
The 45 RPM single was recorded at John Miller's Recording Studio in Russellville, Arkansas.
This single was also the first song penned for Dime-A-Dozen Music
Publishing Company, which was formed by Bob originally for the ROCK BOTTOM project.
Since that time over two dozen singles, a half dozen LP Albums, 10 Cassette Albums, and many CD's by various recording
artists have been produced by Bob and released on the Hype label.
The big news right now is that we will soon begin offering podcasts of our artist's music. Please stay tuned and as we get geared up for this
event we will post the news here first.
Hype Records has prepared and compiled a HYPE RECORDS SAMPLER CD, so if you'd like to hear tracks from some of the
